With the aim of consolidating a leading logistics offering in the region, AFTrans Internacional and FNG Fornés Logistics have broken ground on their new strategic logistics center in Bávaro, Dominican Republic.
This project represents a fundamental step in the group’s joint growth strategy, strengthening its presence in the Caribbean and optimizing the comprehensive operational capacity that both companies offer their clients.
The development of this hub is being carried out in close collaboration with their local partner, Agencia Técnica Aduanal Carlos Nouel, ensuring smooth and expert operations in the area.
A Model of Collaboration and Operational Integration
The launch of this center is the direct result of the recent shareholder integration between FNG Fornés Logistics and AFTrans Internacional. This alliance has allowed the group to unify operational criteria and enhance its technical capabilities, achieving a much more coordinated and efficient international structure.
This infrastructure, designed to offer end-to-end service from origin to destination, eliminates intermediaries and provides greater control over the supply chain. Besides, it directly translates into cost optimization and improved service quality for the group's clients.
First Phase and Strategic Roadmap
The new platform is being deployed on a plot of approximately 10,000 m², with a roadmap structured as follows:
- First Phase: Already under construction, it includes a 2,000 m² warehouse dedicated to customs bonded storage and specialized logistics operations.
- Scalability: The center’s design allows for a second expansion phase of an additional 5,000 m², reaffirming the group's ambition to turn this facility into a benchmark logistics node for key sectors such as hospitality, construction, and project supplies at the destination.
With this investment, FNG Fornés Logistics and AFTrans Internacional are not only expanding their current services but also reinforcing their ability to meet the growing demand for advanced logistics solutions in the Dominican and Caribbean markets.
This joint project marks a milestone in the group’s trajectory, demonstrating that the synergy between both companies is the key to offering a more complete, agile service adapted to the changing needs of the global market.
