AFTrans Internacional and FNG Fornes Logistics announce an agreement reached between both companies in a transaction whereby FNG Fornes Logistics becomes a shareholder in AFTrans Internacional, while the latter absorbs all of FNG Fornes Logistics' international customers. In addition, AFTrans Internacional will have the nationwide support of the network of warehouses owned by FNG Fornes Logistics in different parts of mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
This allows AFTrans Internacional's experience in international operations to be combined with FNG Fornes Logistics' solid infrastructure: its own warehouses, customs agents and coverage that will help to offer an even more comprehensive and competitive service to customers.
More infrastructure, more control, more service
Unlike models based on networks of external partners, this union is committed to a single, cohesive structure at both origin and destination, allowing for greater operational control, efficiency and reliability at every stage of the process.
One of the strategic pillars of the new project is its specialisation in a key destination such as the Caribbean. In this area, a project involving more than 9,000 m2 of company-owned facilities dedicated to providing logistics services and managing operations in the destination area will be consolidated.
To guarantee a genuine door-to-door service without external intermediaries, the alliance has its own highly experienced customs agent. This translates into greater security, efficiency and operational control.
