For yet another December, we take advantage of the last days of the month to look back on a 2021 that has brought us many new developments and restored some of the "normality" that we lost last year.

Staying safe in the face of COVID-19

After a difficult 2020, we at FNG Fornes Logistics started the year facing the challenge in the best possible way: doing what we know  in the safest possible way. However, due to the dramatic aftermath of the pandemic in the archipelago in 2020, in the second month of the year we joined the SOS Tourism initiative, the aim of which was to make a cross-cutting demand of all the agents involved in the tourism value chain, including transport.

Approximately one year after the start of the pandemic, we wanted to know the opinion of our team on the toughest months of 2020, during which we continued to work as transport is considered an essential sector, and their personal impressions on the internal handling of the situation. From this initiative, 4 interviews were published with members of the team from the different delegations, where they reflected on the feeling of security with the measures taken, the change in the relationship with customers or drivers due to the distances that had to be maintained or the fortune of being able to continue working at such a complicated time for the population.

New customs department

The year 2021 has brought with it the launch of our own new customs department, which has all the functions of a customs agent and facilitates the procedures of our clients with international goods subject to customs inspection.

With the creation of this new department, FNG Fornes Logistics has taken a big step towards the objective of becoming the strategic partner for those clients who require the formalisation of any export and import formalities.

Sport is back

We admit that we did not like to go through 2020 without enjoying sport as we are used to. Fortunately, this year we have seen the activity reactivated and with it, the sponsorships in which we are involved.

The summer saw the return of the Rudy and Marta Fernández basketball camps, in which we have been collaborating for several years to support and promote the values of health and companionship in the younger generations.

We have enjoyed the futsal season and the fantastic Palma Futsal, which has made us enjoy every game, just as we have enjoyed the girls of the Garden Hotels Mallorca Volley Club.

With the drop in the number of cases, the popular races have also resumed and with them the Zafiro Palma Marathon, where this year we have been present both at the refreshment posts and on the track. As part of the team of collaborators and a new logistics partner, we were also present at the Mallorca 140.6 triathlon, guaranteeing the transport and supply of refreshments at the refreshment points.

To end the year on a high note, in 2021 we became the main sponsor of the FNG San Silvestre Palma, a traditional event that brings together friends and families at a time as special as the Christmas holidays.

As we do every December, we cannot say goodbye without thanking our customers for the trust they place in our team every day, who give their best every day to guarantee a quality service.

On behalf of the entire FNG team, we wish you a happy new year.
See you in 2022!
