FNG Fornes Logistics strengthens its commitment to sustainability by installing solar panels at its centre in Mallorca.
With this initiative, the company seeks to reduce electricity consumption, replacing it with renewable and clean energy, which reduces the environmental impact of business activity and contributes to responsible consumption of this resource.
This, along with other measures, responds to the company's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint, through the evaluation and identification of possible improvements and the definition of an action plan that considers the conservation of the environment as a fundamental axis.
The general manager, Enrique López, stresses that "actions such as these bring us closer to the goal of reducing our environmental impact and demonstrate that the company's commitment to sustainability is firm".
Currently, the different centres of FNG Fornes Logistics have ISO 14001:2015 certification, which provides a framework for the organisation itself to identify, control and reduce the environmental impact, optimising the use of resources and minimising the production of waste and emissions, thus demonstrating that the objective of being responsible with the environment is present in the work philosophy of all the centres.
For the implementation of this photovoltaic system, FNG Fornes Logistics has obtained financial support from the European Union. This aid is part of the Next Generation funds, also known as the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, as well as an EU instrument.
Thanks to the support provided by the European Union, we have been able to bring this initiative to fruition and we would like to express our gratitude for their commitment to the transition to a more sustainable economy and their support for projects such as ours.
